Body Composition Demonstration – Manchester
July 12 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pmFree
With so many technologies out there, we are looking at what techniques are available to us and what data can it provide to help with clinical decision making. Technologies evolve very quickly and data driven optimisation of the individual is everywhere. To understand the data is key for physiotherapists, doctors, strength and conditioning and rehabilitation coaches, to help their patients and customers understand their body composition and help improve their overall health.
SOZO is the world’s first interactive health monitor to use ImpediMed’s patented bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) technology to monitor a person’s fluid status and over all body composition. Using SOZO’s highly sensitive BIS technology we can measure the patient’s body composition in a fraction of the time as the gold standard, whilst still producing research grade data. We also need to learn what the technology is actually measuring and how it can help us inform our patients and affect our clinical decision making on a day-to-day basis. The task of not only measuring, but using the data is key to practitioners of any background, and will therefore been addressed in a understandable way taught by specialists working daily with the system.
Going through all the steps, from measuring, to understanding the reports, to biofeedback training, and re-assessment in short period of time will give you a feeling for how objective data can improve your daily clinical reasoning.
