Managing Football Injuries with Shockwave Therapy – Webinar

In this webinar we have Anthony Greenhouse, current Physiotherapist of Manchester City Football Club who will share his experience in using Focused Shockwave (f-ESWT) within elite sport.
We will have a 15–20-minute presentation from Anthony followed by an interactive Q&A session.

Extracorporeal Shockwave therapy (ESWT) is widely used and highly effective treatment in orthopaedics and MSK rehabilitation.
True ESWT also known as focused shockwave (f-ESWT) is able to penetrate to specific depths of tissues. It’s well defined powerful focal volume allows you to specifically treat the right structure that replicates the patients pain
F-ESWT can be used for a range of indications but more particularly with tendon injury/pain with high success rates.


Speaker – Anthony Greenhouse

With over 16 years of experience in full time football, Anthony currently works as a First Team Physiotherapist at Manchester City FC and has a specific interest in the management and rehabilitation of MSK injuries. Anthony holds BSc (Hons) degrees in both Sport Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy as well as a MSc degree in Sport Injury Rehabilitation. Over the last 2 years, alongside other treatment modalities such as manual and exercise therapy, he has regularly used ESWT in the management of the injuries sustained by professional footballers and has seen first-hand the benefits it can bring to the sporting environment.
