In this webinar, Steve Miller, founder of Grow Physio Academy, will be presenting on the assessment and treatment approach for managing impact/contusion injuries of the anterior thigh.

Many sports can often lead to ’dead legs’ so this webinar will provide insight into how to assess, accurately estimate timescales and optimally manage these injuries to get athletes back quicker and return to high-level performance.

Guest Speaker – Steve Miller

Steve is a Specialist Physiotherapist with extensive experience in elite sports. Steve has represented the Newcastle Falcons Rugby Club 1st Team, managing players in their Premiership Squad 2014-2020. He has worked with Beach Volleyball in the London Olympics 2012 and Field Hockey at Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014. Steve currently works with elite GB athletes in British Judo,

Steve is an Associate Lecturer in Higher Education including Newcastle University, Sheffield Hallam University & International Teaching Programmes for Prime Physio.

Steve completed his Master’s in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2015 and is a member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). He is acupuncture trained and has a keen interest in neurological contributors to symptoms and injury prevention.

Steve launched Grow Physio Academy during the COVID-19 pandemic to offer an accessible e-learning platform to assist individuals: from students to advanced practitioners to provide access to the often limited access world of professional sports & physiotherapy.
