Shockwave: Translating Research into Practice for the Lower Limb

Piezowave

About

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) has been growing in popularity in the UK for many applications.

This treatment is heavily researched, however, when we delve into the literature, there are many variables and inconsistencies, and putting this into practice is often confusing and overwhelming.

In this webinar, we will be breaking down the research available for ESWT treatments to the lower limb. We will look at what we can treat and how the research available translates into the ‘real world’ of the clinic.

We will have a 20-minute presentation followed by an interactive Q&A session.

This webinar will include:

  • What variations of shockwave are available?
  • Review lower limb indications for ESWT for each major joint
  • Review the research available and summarise how that impacts treatment application
  • Discuss variance in application
  • Prescriptive treatment vs. personalised treatment
