Introduction to Diagnostic Ultrasound Scanning – Lower limb day
Venue:The Mount – Belfast, NI
Time: 9am-4pm
Date: 22nd August

Ultrasound Machines: We have partnered with Physiquipe and they will be poviding a range of Alpinion machines for the event and they will have special on the day offers available for anyone interested in purchasing an ultrasound machine.
Format for the day:
- Introduction on Anatomy and sonoanatomy of the lower limb
- Basics of ultrasound physics
- Live scanning demo
- Small groups – Max 4 per group for individual scanning practice
Focus will be on lower limb with everyone practicing on eachother so we can see a wide range of normal anatomy and we will have presentations of what some common pathologies would look like on ultrasound such as Plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonopathy, patella tendonopathy etc.
Tea/Coffee throughout the day along with lunch all provided.
