In this webinar, we talk to Dr Dan Brooke, a consultant in Sports, Exercise & Musculoskeletal Medicine. Dr Brooke will be discussing the use of diagnostic ultrasound within the world of sports medicine.
In sports, diagnostic ultrasound is a quick and accurate way of diagnosing common injuries that helps quantify players’ return to play. Dr Dan Brooke has had extensive experience in using diagnostic ultrasound in many different sporting environments which has allowed a comprehensive service in managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
We will have a 15-minute presentation from Dr Dan Brooke followed by a Q&A session. The presentation will include:

- The use of diagnostic ultrasound in the clinic room
- The importance of diagnostic ultrasound in sports medicine
Presenter
Dr Dan Brooke is a Consultant in Sports, Exercise & Musculoskeletal Medicine. His specialist interests are in tendinopathy, concussion, ultrasound-guided injections, rugby medicine and hockey medicine. His sporting interests are rugby, hockey, cricket and running. He currently works as chief medical officer for British Skeleton and as a sports physician for the English Institute of Sport. He also works as a consultant at Pure Sports Medicine in London, with clinics at the Bank and Chancery Lane branches. He also works as a match day doctor for the RFU, Premiership Rugby and England Hockey.
His previous work includes working as lead doctor for Ealing Trailfinders rugby club and is the immediate past President of the Sport and Exercise Medicine Section of the Royal Society of Medicine, London and has previously served as registrar representative to the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine Council UK.
