Working with elite sport teams is always extremely exciting for us at Physiquipe.
So, when we were awarded the tender for updating the diagnostic ultrasound systems for six of the English Institute of Sport sites, we were absolutely delighted.
The Best Technology
We installed the Alpinion 8 Diamond systems which are widely used in the Premier League. Team GB’s performance at the last three Olympics has been absolutely incredible and watching the athletes perform in Tokyo was even more engaging knowing that we had played a small role in ensuring they were in the best physical condition possible.
Top-notch Training
We have recently completed training at all 6 English Institute of Sport centres and are very excited at the prospect of supporting them further in the future.
EIS has also invested in our Piezowave2 focused Shockwave system which is a perfect complement to diagnostic ultrasound. As it allows the clinician to identify and treat the specific depth and size of a structure. It also allows a much deeper penetration depth compared to the radial devices that are at some EIS sites.
As well as this, Physiquipe have been the sponsor for the last two Royal Society of Medicine conferences, which includes many speakers who work with EIS, and we love being involved at the cutting edge of elite sport.
The Alpinion 8 Diamond we have at EIS a really good system, both in terms of ease of use and image quality, and is far superior to the ones I have used in previous years. We are spotting things that we probably wouldn’t have before, so I am really happy with it as it has improved the service for athletes. Dr Chris Tomlinson – Chief Medical Officer to British Gymnastics
