Mark is a well-known physio in the world of elite sport having worked for various football and rugby league clubs. In part one of our chat, Mark talks about how he got started in physiotherapy and made the transition into elite sport. Mark and I were part of the team that assessed medical departments in Saudi Arabia in 2010, so I got to hear many stories of his time in sport. I did my best to get this information out of him and the tales at Liverpool FC are definitely worth listening to, especially the one about his first day as head physio being confronted with having to ‘manage’ 11 uninjured first team players who services ‘were not part of the managers plans…’ I am hoping to get the nod as ghost writer for the autobiography, as it will be a best seller!
