The course will include scanning of the foot, ankle & knee, covering essential structures such as the Achilles Tendon, Plantar Fascia, Popliteal Fossa and the Common Peroneal Nerve. Dr Marwan Al-Dawoud
Dr Marwan Al-Dawoud is a Sports and Exercise Medicine Doctor specialising in tendon issues, musculoskeletal ultrasound and interventional treatment.
He gained his medical qualification in 2007 from the University of Manchester before training in General Practice and then undertaking higher studies and gaining further qualifications in Sport and Exercise Medicine. He has worked in the Rugby League Super League, Premiership Rugby Union, Premiership Football and UK Athletics as well as working at National level in Rugby and Football.
Dr Marwan is the Lead Doctor for England Partially Sighted Football and was part of the Challenge Cup Final Winning team as Head of Medical Services for Leeds Rhinos. He is the National Sport and Exercise Medicine Doctor for Connect Health, the UK’s largest independent musculoskeletal healthcare service, and a reviewer for the British Medical Journal for Sport and Exercise Medicine. He works throughout Yorkshire and the North West of England in NHS musculoskeletal services.
Dr Shubhasis Basu
Dr Subhasis Basu is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist with his private practice locations based in Cheshire, Manchester, Lancashire and London, and his NHS base at Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr. Basu’s practice involves reviewing and reporting X-rays, CT scans and MRI scans. He also performs diagnostic ultrasound scans as well as treat various joint and soft tissue disorders with image-guided therapeutic injections predominantly revolving around orthopaedic, sports medicine and rheumatology conditions.
Dr. Basu currently holds Senior Honorary Lecturer positions at Manchester Metropolitan University and at the University of Salford.
