Benn Digweed is a seasoned sports medicine professional renowned for his dedication and experience from academic and sporting environments. With a background in sports science and physiotherapy, Benn’s journey began with a fascination for sports and the human body. He honed his skills during his time at Chelsea Football Club and Solent University, gaining invaluable experience in high-performance environments. Transitioning to academia, Benn joined Keele University as a clinical lead and teaching fellow, where he mentored aspiring practitioners and delved into the theoretical aspects of sports medicine. Currently, Benn works as a multi-sport physiotherapist at the UK Sport Institute, supporting athletes across various Olympic and paralympic sports with his grounded approach and focus on tangible solutions. He has also recently returned from the Winter Youth Olympic Games in South Korea working as a HQ physiotherapist for Team GB. Throughout his career, Benn has amassed a variety of insights, emphasising the importance of continuous learning and staying attuned to athletes’ needs.
