Andy is the Lead Endurance Physiotherapist for British Athletics, working across London, Loughborough and Brighton. Andy has had a passion for athletics for years, covering numerous major competition events; holding camp and training camps both nationally and internationally. He has been either indirectly or directly involved across two Olympic cycles, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2021.

Our chat got off to a different start when Andy told me his first degree was history and he has a PhD in … After being in academia until he was 31, Andy decided to move in to physio studying at Salford University. Upon graduation he worked in the NHS for 8 years as well as in private practice. Being a competitive runner himself, Andy made contact with Neil Black to see if he could shadow the EIS team. This is when he first met James Moore who has had a huge impact on his career and someone Andy would go on to work with in numerous settings.

Andy is currently preparing for the Tokyo Olympics which he is so excited for, so we wish him and the rest of Team GB well for what should be a very memorable event!
