Tim is the proud Clinical Director at Surrey Physio. He originally started working as a physiotherapist in 2000, and qualified as an osteopath in 2002 from The British School of Osteopathy, where he gained a reputation for producing superb results, and started treating his lecturers and clinic tutors. He joined the HCPC in 2005 as a Physiotherapist and achieved his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2012 from Bath University. In 2017 he became a non-medical prescriber qualifying from London South Bank University, and an injection therapist, qualifying from the University of Essex.
Tim originally set up Croydon Physio in 2005, and took over control of Surrey Physio in April 2008. He brought in his own physio’s and admin staff, and set up a system of training for all the physios. With the help of a great team, Surrey Physio as a clinic developed into the Surrey Physio Group, founded by Tim. He has now expanded to over 200 locations in Surrey, London, and Hampshire. Tim now employs a team of over 120 staff.
Tim has a passion for supporting charities, and sits on the board for the Osteopathic Foundation, a charity to support innovation and development of the osteopathic profesison. He is also a Trustee for the Family Initiative, to support families, especially Fathers, during and after their baby is born, and children who go through parental divorces. Tim is also a Trustee for the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine, supporting medical professionals in elite sport.
Tim was the driving force behind redeploying physiotherapists and osteopaths into hospitals, GP surgeries and vaccination centres during the 2020-22 COVID-19 pandemic. The Surrey Physio Group team vaccinated over 21,000 patients.
Surrey Physio are proud to have purchased a number of freehold premises in Farnborough, Croydon, Mitcham, and Balham, and this has given the company significant stability, allowing patients to access Surrey Physio at an affordable price. Tim would love to open the clinic up to non-fee paying members of the public, and one day envisages a service where all patients can get access to high quality rehabilitation care for free.
Tim is a physio, osteopath, injection therapist, health and lifestyle coach, rehab specialist, non-medical prescriber, and acupuncturist. He has been to six Olympic Games (Vancouver 2010, London 2012, Rio 2016, PyeongChang 2018, Tokyo 2020, and Beijing 2022), two Commonwealth Games (Lead Physio at Glasgow 2014, and Birmingham 2022), one European Games, one Islamic Games, and many World Championships.
