This group session topic will be “Using the BTE Primus in an industrial Occupational Health setting” where experienced PrimusRS user and OT and Rehab Specialist Carla Yue from Ford Motoring Company will be delivering a short presentation followed by a discussion.
The BTE PrimusRS is widely used within Occupational Health and Vocational Rehabilitation Centres around the world. The session will be led by OH Therapist and Rehab Specialist, Carla Yue, who has been working on-site at the Ford Plant in Liverpool since 2010. The Primus has been a key component within both screening and rehabilitation through this time. Carla will share how the program works and how and why the Primus is used.
“The MSK program was introduced in 2010 as voluntary participation. It was introduced as new machines were being used which tends to lead to an increase in repetitive injuries (golfers/tennis elbow and lower back).
Tests were completed on the Primus and if weaknesses were found, employees were given a strengthening program. They were then retested. All data were collected and reviewed to monitor trends and for future planning, recruitment and budgeting.
The program has been so successful that all new employees are put through it.”
This group session will be hosted on Tuesday 18th April from 2:00-3:30pm.
